Sweet PSU

This PSU was easy to install. I love the cable management model. It is so nice to run just the cables that you need for your installation. This feature also allows for much better air circulation inside the case.
Tough, Powerful, Modular

Great single rail solution ideal for AMD processors. The modular design gives the user flexibility in cable management and helping limit clutter to maximize air flow. Some accessories include: long and short cables; 8 and 6 pin PCI-E VGA power connectors; silicone mounting skin to limit vibration for lower dBs; Velcro cable fasteners. Over all, it looks and feels sturdy.

Really wanted to love this power supply as the packaging was pretty amazing for what this is. They definitely hired some professional packaging people to work on this and you get an overwhelming confidence in the quality of the product you just purchased. The modular cables come in their own little bag which was also a nice touch. Also through in a rubber sound dampener also a nice bonus. The thing is I know one can be duped by nice packaging but I really did feel on first glance that thermaltake takes pride in their products.

After hooking this all up with my new build I immediately heard an annoying capacitative sound coming from the power supply as soon as there was a load on the 12V rails from the first boot up.

I'll update once I receive the new one. It doesn't bum me out as it would others because things like this happen with diy builds. On the other hand, the quality control just isn't there.
Exploding power supply!

This power supply lasted for twenty minutes. Now it is totally dead, useless. After twenty minutes of use something in there exploded, some smoke came out and now the Standby light won't turn on, and the supply is totally dead. Only thing I'm glad is this thing didn't damage my new i7. I'm totally dissapointed with Thermaltake. If you want a modular power supply, better expend $30 more and get the Corsair HX750, a much better quality PS.
